Our Goal: Finish the Talk

In this lesson, you will learn how to finish a conversation about your code. This is like saying 'we're done talking about this part'. You will find the comments you made and click a button to show that the talk is finished.

Get Ready to Finish the Talk

Before you finish the talk, make sure you are on the Pull Request page you made. You should see the comments you made and replied to.

Go to the 'Conversation' tab on your Pull Request page. Find the comments you were talking about. They should still be open, meaning the talk is not finished yet.

Finish the Talk

Now, you will finish the talk about your code. Follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you are on the 'Conversation' tab of your Pull Request.
  2. Find the comments you were talking about.
  3. Look for a button that says 'Resolve conversation'. It might be next to the comments.
  4. Click the 'Resolve conversation' button. This tells everyone that the discussion about those comments is finished.

Check Your Work Again

You've finished the talk! Now, let's check to make sure it's marked as done.

Go back to the 'Conversation' tab of your Pull Request.

What you should see:

āœ… The comments you were talking about should now be marked as 'Resolved'. This means the discussion is complete!

If you see this, you did a great job!
